The new book--The Confession

Has anyone else read The Confession yet? Let's share after Thanksgiving. I'll be in Dallas watching our Who Dat Saints put some pain on those Cowboys. That new Cowboys Stadium that Jerry Jones has built is amazing. The roof opens and closes and the viewing screens span from one 20 yard line to the other. Not to mention the fun that takes place during commercials and half time. ^^Back to the book. The newest book was not a favorite of mine. Let's talk.

The Appeal

Oh, also - 9mm said the following earlier: "I was inspired by The Appeal. Not the way the author intended. I joined the NRA, bought a new handgun and will soon be training for my concealed weapons permit. Thanks Grisham. I really have gotten sick of your liberal lefty stories. I enjoyed your early work, but will not waste my time on any more of your twisted political agenda stories. Do you really have to offend half of the country to tell a good story?" Well the answer to your quest...

for those people that liked the ending to john grisham`s latest books. i know it is a cruel world out there. that is why i was so dissapointed with the ending of his books. i guess reading has always been my way of getting away from all the problems life has to offer. and i want my books to have a good ending.

The Associate

I BELIEVE THE BOOK IS BASED ON A FALSE PREMISE. WHY BOTHER TO MURDER AND BLACMAIL WHEN A SENIOR PARTNER IS ALREADY SUPPLYING INSIDE INFORMATION TO BENNIE AND HIS COHORTS. COULDN'T THE SCHEMING PARTNER HAVE SUPPLIED ALL THE INFO ON THE ONGOING SUIT? ASIDE FROM THAT, THE ENDING WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING-BUSINESS AS USUAL FOR ALL THE BAD GUYS.

Eva Miranda/Leah Pires

Any ideas on whatever became of Eva Miranda? I just got through re- reading 'The Partner', and that question still plagues me. A few years ago, after I read 'The Broker', I thought that maybe Mia (living in Italy) in that story, could be Eva/Leah who disappeared somewhere in Europe at the end of 'The Partner'. Has anyone else out there thought that they could be the same? I'd love it if JG would write something tying those characters together, bringing Patri...

Grisham as a children's book writer

What do you think, will he succeed as a children's book writer? Do kids aged 8 to 12 even be interested in legal thrillers and topics like lawyers, murders and court room action?

Favourite John Grisham Book?

My most favorite is The Innocent Man. After that...I'd have to think about it..maybe reread some stuff I haven't read it years. Seems like I read Bleachers but was disappointed. One book..I'm trying to remember which one...The Partner maybe? It's been years since I read it...anyway the girl runs off with all the money at the end. I was kinda mad. Obviously I need to reread...maybe I'll do that while he works on finishing The Associate!

I loved this book but couldn't help but think there should be a part 2 to see what happens after the brother gets out of rehab. Does anyone know if there is a part 2 out there or coming?
